Panchkula, March 25 -- The district traffic police seized a private bus and issued a challan worth Rs.43,500 during a special enforcement drive in Panchkula, officials said on Tuesday. Acting on a tip-off late March 23, officials intercepted the bus near Ramgarh after a brief chase. According to them, the bus was operating from Baddi (Himachal Pradesh) to Bareilly (Uttar Pradesh) via Madhawala village. During checking, the driver failed to produce a valid route permit. Terming it a violation of the Motor Vehicles Act, the police impounded the bus. Strict action will continue against such offenders, officials added....
