BSF troops seize over 3kg ICE, heroin along Indo-Pak border
Ferozepur, Oct. 19 -- Border Security Force (BSF) troops, in coordination with state police, foiled multiple drone-based smuggling attempts along the India-Pakistan border, seizing heroin, synthetic drugs, and a pistol within the past 24 hours.
In the first operation, acting on specific intelligence, BSF personnel launched a search operation near Tindiwala village in Ferozepur district. During the search, they recovered a packet of heroin weighing 602g from an agricultural field.
In a separate incident along the Amritsar border, based on a tip-off from the BSF Intelligence Wing, troops carried out a search near Bhaini Rajputana village.
A large packet, suspected to have been dropped via drone, was recovered from a field, containing 3.6 kg of ICE. The packet was wrapped in yellow adhesive tape and fitted with a metal ring and illuminating strips.
In a third operation in the Amritsar district, BSF personnel recovered a pistol wrapped in yellow adhesive tape from farmland near Roranwala Khurd village....
