BSF seizes 2 drones, 1kg heroin, pistol parts along Punjab border
Ferozepur, Nov. 29 -- The Border Security Force (BSF) on Friday recovered two drones, packets of 1.07 kg heroin and pistol components along the India-Pakistan border in Punjab.
According to an official, in a release, acting on specific inputs from the BSF intelligence wing, troops recovered one DJI Mavic 3 Classic drone along with 550gm of suspected heroin from the area of Old Gatti village in Fazilka district. The recovery was made during a targeted search operation mounted in the early hours.
In another intelligence-based operation on the Tarn Taran border, BSF personnel recovered one DJI Mavic 3 Classic drone and a packet of suspected heroin weighing 520gm from an agricultural field located ahead of the border security fence near Mukhiyan Wala village. The drone was found grounded and partially damaged, indicating an attempted smuggling drop.
A separate operation along the Amritsar sector led to the recovery of pistol parts and one magazine from agricultural fields in Uttar Dhariwal village. Officials said the cache was concealed in the fields, likely intended for retrieval by Indian operatives of a cross-border smuggling module....
