Ferozepur, Oct. 26 -- The Border Security Force (BSF) and Punjab Police recovered a total of 4.8 kg heroin in a series of coordinated operations in the border areas of Ferozepur and Amritsar districts since Friday night, an official release said. Acting on intelligence inputs, a joint team of the BSF and police recovered six packets containing 3.2 kg of the contraband from a field of Jalloke village in Ferozepur district on Saturday. The packets were wrapped in yellow adhesive tape, indicating a drone-dropped consignment originating from across the border. In another operation along the border in Amritsar district, BSF personnel recovered a packet of heroin weighing 1.08 kg from the vicinity of Mullakot village.
