Rohtak, Dec. 25 -- A 38-year-old woman was stabbed to death allegedly by her brother-in-law in Bhiwani, police said on Wednesday. The accused inflicted cuts on his hand with a knife and is now undergoing treatment at the Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences (PGIMS), Rohtak, where his condition is said to be out of danger. According to police, the victim was living with her husband and two children in Bhiwani. In his complaint to the police, her husband said that his cousin was mounting pressure on his wife to end social ties and solemnise marriage with him. "My wife had turned down the marriage proposal and my cousin was indulged in a one-sided affair. He killed my wife with a knife and then tried to end his life," the complainant added. Investigating officer Dharamveer of Bhiwani city police station said that the woman was stabbed to death by her brother-in-law after she refused to marry him. "The accused is undergoing treatment at PGIMS and a case of murder has been registered against him. He will be arrested after being discharged from the Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences," he added....
