Brookfield International School hosts leadership conclave, MUN
Mohali, Sept. 16 -- Brookfield International School, Siswan Road campus, organised a Leadership Conclave and Model United Nations event. The event's goal was to encourage critical thinking, policy debate, and the development of leadership skills among students. The event served as a practical platform for young people to engage with global issues, hone their public speaking skills, and understand the importance of diplomacy.
The event was inaugurated by the school's president, Manav Singla. In his inspiring speech, Singla shared valuable insights on leadership, motivating students with stories of courage and duty.
A Leadership Conclave was organised for students from third to fifth grade with the goal of nurturing leadership qualities, teamwork, and communication skills in younger students.
Meanwhile, the MUN simulation for students in grades six to twelve provided a deep diplomatic experience. Delegates, representing various countries, political parties, or organisations, engaged in high-level discussions on topics like the effects of climate change, cybersecurity, and the ethical applications of AI. They demonstrated their skills in critical thinking, research, negotiation, and public speaking.
