BATHINDA, June 5 -- Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee (PPCC) president Amarinder Singh Raja Warring on Wednesday asked chief minister Bhagwant Mann to bring a white paper on narcotics in Punjab. After meeting the members of the anti-drug committee at Bhai Bakhtaur in Bathinda, Warring questioned the claims of the AAP government that drug peddling had been controlled in the state. "An unrealistic deadline for finishing drugs from Punjab has passed and villagers are not only complaining about the drugs, but those who raise their voice against the peddlers are attacked. Kotfatta SHO went to the extent of intimidating villagers who talked about the availability of narcotics," said Warring. He maintained that the problem of drugs is too deep-rooted to be solved by registration of a few hundred cases or demolishing homes of a few peddlers. HTC...
