Boys' football tournament concludes at Delhi Public School with cheers
Mohali, Oct. 16 -- The two-day DPS Football Tournament Boys (Open) 2025, Zone 1 concluded at Delhi Public School, Mohali. Sixteen competitive teams comprising of 247 students from various DPS schools from the Northern region participated in the league-cum-knockout tournament.
The valedictory ceremony commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the chief guest SP Anandh Kumar, IFS, special secretary, Government of Punjab, along with other guests. The event was further enlivened by a cultural programme, featuring a melodious school choir, followed by a Bhangra performance reflecting the rich cultural spirit of Punjab. The highlight of the evening was the prize distribution ceremony, where SP Anandh Kumar felicitated the winning team, DPS Srinagar, and honoured the best player of the tournament, Mohammad Eisa of DPS Srinagar, selected from among the sixteen participating teams of Zone 1.
