Blue Bird School celebrates United Nations Day on campus
	
		
				Panchkula, Oct. 28 -- The United Nations Day was celebrated at Blue Bird High School, Sector 16, Panchkula on Friday with great enthusiasm. Students gave speeches in the morning assembly highlighting the history and the work done by different organs of the United Nations throughout the world. Symbols showing the different organs of the United Nations were also showcased. A flag identification activity was conducted to show the different members of the United Nations.
School principal Vandna highlighted the theme and said that it's a great way for the students to understand how our global mindedness and our multicultural community and global initiatives can make our world a better place. She emphasised the ongoing relevance of global cooperation and the United Nation's mission of 17 sustainable development goals, such as zero hunger and gender equality. The activities highlighted the importance of the United Nations in fostering global peace, human rights and cultural understanding....
