Blue Bird High students provide essential support to old age home
Panchkula, July 23 -- The Interact Club 'Prayaas -Ek Koshish' of Blue Bird High School, paid a visit to the inmates of the Old Age Home, Sector 15, Panchkula to spread cheer, sustainability, and practical support.
The visit combined environmental action with humanitarian care, leaving a lasting impact on both residents and students. Students planted saplings across the home's premises, enhancing green cover and providing future shade for residents.
A significant contribution was a new 4-burner gas stove enabling the home to prepare meals more efficiently for its residents daily. The elderly residents welcomed the students, sharing stories while participating in the tree-plantation. The home management expressed deep gratitude, emphasising how the stove would ease daily cooking burdens and the essentials would directly benefit resident comfort. Through this initiative, Interact Club members gained invaluable life lessons like Empathy & Respect for Elders....
