Mohali, Nov. 4 -- Shamrock Senior Secondary School, Sector 69, organised a blood donation camp in collaboration with Rotary Classic Chandigarh and the Blood Bank of Indus International Hospital. The main objective of the camp was to spread awareness about the importance of blood donation and encourage students and staff to participate in this life-saving cause. A total of 30 volunteers came forward to donate blood, showcasing their compassion, empathy, and strong sense of social responsibility. A dedicated team of medical professionals from Indus International Hospital was present to oversee the entire noble effort. The medical team motivated the school staff and students by emphasising the life-saving impact of blood donation. They also dispelled the common misconception that blood donation causes physical weakness, assuring everyone that the body replenishes the donated blood within just twenty-four hours. To acknowledge their invaluable contribution, all participants and volunteers were presented with a Certificate of Appreciation, a token of gratitude, and refreshments, making them feel recognised and respected for their selfless service. Principal Praneet Sohhal stated, "Blood donation is a noble service that teaches our students how to put compassion into action. This event reinforces our educational mission, where we nurture not just academic excellence but also responsible and empathetic citizens.
