BJP to hold Veer Bal Diwas events in 768 districts across country
Chandigarh, Dec. 24 -- The Punjab unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Tuesday announced that the party will organise large-scale programmes dedicated to the martyrdom of the Sahibzadas simultaneously in 768 districts across the country.
Addressing a press conference, Punjab BJP state vice-president Bikram Cheema, state general secretary Dayal Das Sodhi, and former vice-chairman of the National Minorities Commission Manjit Singh Rai said the declaration of December 26 as "Veer Bal Diwas" is a historic step that has linked the unparalleled martyrdom of the younger Sahibzadas with the national consciousness.
Cheema said that through these programmes, the sacrifices and teachings of the Guru Sahiban would be taken to every region and section of society.
"The message will be conveyed in the mother tongue of each state, including Bengali, Telugu, Kannada, Tamil, Marathi, Gujarati, Assamese and other languages," he said....
