Panchkula, Oct. 17 -- Bhavan Vidyalaya hosted two CBSE workshops on gender sensitivity and life skills (advanced) on October 11, 2025. The workshops aimed to foster a deeper understanding of gender equity, inclusivity, and essential life skills among educators, empowering them to create a more respectful and balanced learning environment. The primary objective of the gender sensitivity workshop was to sensitise teachers towards gender issues, break prevalent stereotypes, and encourage equitable participation of all genders within classrooms and school activities. The programme commenced with a welcome address, followed by the ceremonial lighting of the lamp amid the recitation of shlokas. The training session of the gender sensitivity workshop was conducted by two educators, Vibha Ray and Isha Anand, who shared valuable insights on the importance of recognizing unconscious bias and promoting fairness through curriculum, pedagogy, and everyday interactions. The CBSE Workshop on life skills (advanced) had Ritu Sharma and Pooja Aggarwal as resource persons. The workshop focused on enhancing teachers' emotional intelligence, decision-making abilities, and interpersonal effectiveness. Through interactive group tasks and reflective discussions, participants explored techniques to foster resilience, empathy, and positive classroom relationships. The sessions encouraged teachers to integrate life skills education seamlessly into daily teaching, promoting holistic student development.
