Panchkula, Aug. 20 -- Bhavan Vidyalaya proudly celebrated the 79th Independence Day with great enthusiasm and fervour. The school was filled with the spirit of patriotism as students, teachers and staff came together to commemorate this significant day. The celebration began with the hoisting of the national flag by the school principal Gulshan Kaur. Special assemblies and other events such as short stories on freedom fighters in Open Mic, speeches on 'Your Idea of Patriotism', Tricolour Balloon Relay Race and Tricolour Craft and Sandwich making activities were held in school campus which were aimed to instil a sense of national pride and responsibility among the students. The teachers too participated enthusiastically and presented a patriotic song, a short skit dedicated to the freedom fighters and a dance highlighting India's rich cultural legacy. The school principal Gulshan Kaur in her address to the staff and students stressed the need for unity, integrity, and patriotism, emphasising the importance of respecting our nation's diversity and working towards its progress and prosperity.
