Banyan Tree School organises four-day soccer tournament
Chandigarh, Nov. 6 -- The four-day Inter-School Soccer Tournament hosted by Banyan Tree School came to an exciting close after an action-packed week. The event saw 32 teams from leading schools across the region competing with passion and sportsmanship, making it one of the most dynamic tournaments of the year.
The tournament was inaugurated by prof Gurmeet Singh Kapoor, professor of Physical Education (Maulana Abul Kalam Azad Chair Professor), chairman & former director of sports, Panjab University, Chandigarh, whose presence added great prestige to the event and set a spirited tone for the matches ahead.
After four thrilling days of football excellence, the championship concluded with an atmosphere of celebration and camaraderie. The much-awaited trophy presentation was conducted by Jayeta Auddy, director, Banyan Tree School, Chandigarh, amidst loud cheers and applause from players and spectators alike.
The top three winning teams were:
Champions: St Joseph senior secondary School, Chandigarh.
Runners-up: St John's High School, Chandigarh.
Second Runners-up: Saint Soldier Divine Public School, Panchkula.
