Chandigarh, Jan. 9 -- The annual function and prize distribution ceremony was held at Shri Kulwant Rai Sarvhitkari Vidya Mandir, Sector 43B, run by the Sarvhitkari Shiksha Samiti (Punjab), affiliated with Vidya Bharati All India Education Institute. The chief guest of the programme was Gaurav Agrawal (director of Herbs Indian Specialists Pvt Ltd), the keynote speaker was Sandeep Dhuriya (general secretary, Sarvhitkari Shiksha Samiti, Punjab), special guests were Mr. Rakesh Goyal, MD (Rohit Traders, Parwanoo, Shri Tirupati Balaji Plywood, Panchkula), Ashok Sharma, MD (AK Builders), principal Kamaldeep Singh, managing committee chairman Jagmohan Garg, manager Sanjeev Aggarwal, other managing committee members, principals from various schools, alumni, former teachers, and parents attended the annual festival. The chief guests were welcomed with a tilak and the programme began with the lighting of a lamp. Following this, the chief guests were welcomed with a Tulsi plant, as per Indian tradition. Children from Shishu Vatika also performed dances based on the importance of fruits and vegetables and family themes. Students presented programs such as Save the Environment, Motivational Songs, Operation Sindoor, Shiva Tandava based on Yoga, and Unity in Diversity.
