Chandigarh, Dec. 24 -- The annual function and prize distribution ceremony was held on December 13 at Shri Kulwant Rai Sarvhitkari Vidya Mandir, Sector 43B, Chandigarh, run by the Sarvhitkari Shiksha Samiti (Punjab), affiliated with Vidya Bharati All India Education Institute. The chief guests were welcomed with a tilak and the programme began with the lighting of a lamp. Following this, the chief guests were welcomed with a Tulsi plant, as per Indian tradition. Managing Committee chairman Jagmohan Garg introduced the chief guests. Colorful programmes were presented by students from Class Nursery to 8. The programme began with the praise of Lord Rama. Children from Shishu Vatika also performed dances based on the importance of fruits and vegetables and family themes. Students presented programs such as Save the Environment, Motivational Songs, Operation Sindoor, Shiva Tandava based on Yoga, and Unity in Diversity.
