Angels Valley School teaches healthy food habits to kids
Rajpura, Dec. 18 -- An informative and engaging session on "Nurturing Healthy Food Habits among Children" was successfully conducted for parents and students, aiming to promote awareness about balanced nutrition and mindful eating practices at an early age.
The session was led by Yasmin Rahul Bakshi, a senior food consultant, Recipe Curator, Food Historian, Entrepreneur, and a proud National Creators Awards 2024 awardee, honoured by the Prime Minister of India. Her expertise and approachable style made the session both insightful and practical for the audience.
Bakshi emphasised the importance of creating a positive food environment at home, highlighting how parental choices and behaviour significantly influence children's eating habits. She shared smart substitutions for junk food, innovative and child-friendly tiffin ideas, and effective strategies to manage picky eating among children. The session also shed light on nutrition's role in supporting growth, immunity, and overall well-being.
A special segment on genetically modified foods helped parents and students understand the basics, clear common misconceptions, and make informed food choices.
