Amritsar, Nov. 8 -- Two drug supply modules having links with Pakistan-based smugglers were busted with the arrest of two operatives and recovery of 2.815 kg Methamphetamine, commonly known as ICE, from Amritsar, revealed Punjab director general of police Gaurav Yadav on Friday. The accused have been identified as Gursevak Singh alias Sevak, a resident of Gharyala village in Tarn Taran, and Baljit Singh, a resident of Guru Nanakpura in Amritsar. Yadav said the accused used to communicate with their Pak-based handlers through virtual numbers and select delivery points near religious places to avoid suspicion. Amritsar police commissioner Gurpreet Singh Bhullar said that Gursevak was arrested near Dana Mandi and later 1.96 kg ICE was recovered. The accused Baljit was caught near Vallah Bypass Road, Amritsar and cops recovered 770 gm more later.
