Chandigarh, Dec. 20 -- The Amber Group of Industries has announced setting up of an over Rs.500-crore state-of-the-art research and development centre in Rajpura. Hailing the move, Punjab industries and commerce minister Sanjeev Arora said, "The decision of the firm is a strong endorsement of Punjab's progressive industrial policies, skilled manpower and investor-friendly ecosystem." The project would create around 1,000 well-paid jobs and significantly strengthen Punjab's position in advanced engineering and product design, he said, adding that the state government was committed to providing full support to Amber Group and other investors.
