India, Dec. 15 -- Composer Amaal Malik has responded to musician-duo Sachet-Parampara amid an ongoing dispute over the original composition of Bekhayali, the 2019 hit track from Kabir Singh. In a new interview, Amaal challenged the duo to take legal action if they believe his claims of being the original composer are false. "They never say that on my face because half of them are afraid of me, and that is the truth. They will never come and talk to me. They'll say it on Instagram and not do a court case... Do a case of defamation if you feel I have copied your music," he told Zoom. The composer also denied taking credit for work he did not create: "People put their names on others' songs and say 'maine banaya'. I've never done that. I'll take the bullet but speak the truth. If someone wants to malign my name within the industry, they can say it through interviews, but look at how any of my remixes were done." This battle for credits began after Amaal claimed that he had shared a tune with Sachet-Parampara on WhatsApp, which was later used as a reference while composing Bekhayali.
