India, Sept. 24 -- Actor Akshay Kumar on Tuesday issued a strong clarification after multiple AI-generated videos surfaced online, falsely portraying him in the role of Maharishi Valmiki. Taking to X, the actor dismissed the clips as "fake" and raised concerns about the rapid spread of such manipulated content. I want to clarify that all such videos are fake and created using AI," Akshay wrote. He also criticised news outlets for amplifying the content without checks: "What's worse, some news channels decide to pick these up as 'news' without even verifying if these are real or morphed." The actor urged media houses to fact-check before reporting, noting the risks of misinformation in the age of artificial intelligence. The morphed trailer, claiming to star Akshay alongside Pankaj Tripathi and Paresh Rawal, has been circulating on YouTube for months.HTC...
