Ajit wanted merger, talks halted, says Sharad Pawar
Pune, Feb. 1 -- Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) founder Sharad Pawar on Saturday said the process to merge the two factions of the party, slated for February 12, has come to a halt following the death of Maharashtra deputy chief minister Ajit Pawar. At a press briefing in Baramati on the day Sunetra Pawar was sworn in as deputy chief minister in her husband's place, Sharad Pawar said leaders from the Ajit camp are no longer keen on the move despite his own party's willingness.P6...
