BATHINDA, Dec. 16 -- The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Bathinda, and HMEL Guru Gobind Singh Refinery on Monday joined hands to launch a comprehensive integrated mobile medical unit (MMU) and telemedicine project. The initiative will deliver quality medical services directly to the doorsteps of villagers in Bathinda and adjoining districts. A memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed between the twin Bathinda-based institutes through which 59 adopted villages across Punjab and Haryana will now receive free medical consultation, diagnostics, medicines, specialist tele-consultation and health awareness interventions.
