Mohali, March 30 -- Two unidentified men robbed a cylinder delivery worker of around Rs.7,000 in cash after overpowering him near Global City, Sector 124, police said on Sunday. Police said the victim, Vikas Kumar, was returning after delivering 36 liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) cylinders in his vehicle bearing number PB-65-H-7360 on Friday. On the way back to the gas agency, he stopped near Global City to grab something to eat. While he was parked, two men approached him and claimed they did not know how to book a cylinder online. When the delivery worker checked their request, both men forcibly entered the vehicle, snatched the keys from him and snatched Rs.7,000 from his pocket. The suspects fled on a motorcycle before the victim could raise the alarm. Thecomplainant told police he will be able to identify the attackers if they were brought before him. Police registered a case under Sections 309 (6) (causing hurt while committing robbery), 115 (2) (voluntarily causing hurt), 126 (2) (wrongful restraint) and 3 (5) (common intention) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita against the unidentified accused. Police are scrutinising CCTV footage from the market area for leads about the absconding accused. Further investigation is underway....
