Mohali, Dec. 31 -- The Zirakpur police conducted a raid on a wholesaler's shop in the Bhabat area following a tip-off regarding suspected adulterated dairy products. Police immediately alerted health department officials, who arrived at the scene for inspection and sample collection. The operation was carried out under the supervision of ASP Zirakpur Gazalpreet Kaur. During the inspection, officials found stocks of dairy products, including four quintals of paneer, four quintals of desi ghee, and nearly six quintals of milk. Officials from the health department and food safety wing collected samples in the presence of police personnel. These samples were sealed according to protocol and dispatched to the food safety laboratory (FSL) for analysis. ASP Kaur said further action will be determined by the laboratory report, adding that both police and health authorities are strictly following the prescribed legal process. Police have begun verifying the source and distribution network of the seized products to ascertain where the materials were being supplied.
