Ferozepur, Sept. 17 -- Ten individuals have been arrested and 7.8-kg of heroin, firearms, vehicles and other incriminating material have been seized in separate cases, police said on Tuesday. With this, multiple drug and arms smuggling rackets have been busted across Ferozepur district, officials said. SSP Bhupinder Singh Sidhu said four FIRs were registered under the NDPS Act. Krishan Singh (25) of Patiala was caught with 5.225-kg heroin on Dulchi Road near Sokar Canal. Near Hussainiwala headworks, 1.542-kg heroin was seized and Rohit Kumar (19) and Sandeep Singh were caught. Their aide is at large, the SSP said. Kamal Kumar, Rahul and Surinder Singh alias Radhe were arrested with 1.1-kg heroin. Two bikes, a Glock pistol with cartridges and a mobile phone has been seized, officials said. Pipal Singh (27) of Tarn Taran was arrested with a .32-bore country-made pistol.
