Rohtak, Nov. 27 -- A 35-year-old man was shot dead by three persons outside a hotel in Rewari on Tuesday night, police said on Wednesday. The deceased has been identified as Mahesh Gujjar, a resident of Alwar in Rajasthan. He had shifted to Rewari three weeks ago and was working at a hotel. In his complaint to the police, hotel owner Vijay Pal said that Mahesh had engaged in a verbal spat with three men- Mehar Chand, sarpanch of Dabri village and his two accomplices -Tejpal and Ashok near a liquor vend on Tuesday morning. "The three accused came outside my hotel around 8 pm on Tuesday and fired shots. When Mahesh came outside, Ashok took out his revolver and fired shots at his chest," he added.
