3 more bodies of Maoists found in Chhattisgarh; toll mounts to 13
RAIPUR, April 4 -- The bodies of three more Maoists were recovered from the spot of a fierce encounter that broke out in Chhattisgarh's Bijapur district on Tuesday, taking the toll for cadres of the CPI(Maoist) to 13. This makes it the most significant blow to the Maoists since July 2019 when seven cadre were killed in Bastar's Nagarnar, and marks a significant uptick in aggression in the region, with 47 insurgents killed in 2024, already more than double the 22 rebels killed in 2023....
