Bathinda, Jan. 8 -- As many as three people, including a teenager, were killed after a commercial van rammed into a motorcycle and a cycle near Bareta town of Mansa district on Wednesday. The deceased were identified as Buta Singh, 30, Jagtar Singh, 29, and Gurmukh Singh, 18,all residents of Bhakhshiwala village. Police officials said Buta and Jagtar were riding the motorcycle, while Gurmukh, a shepherd, was on the cycle. Mansa senior superintendent of police (SSP) Bhagirath Singh Meena said as per initial investigation, the commercial van was moving on the wrong side of the road. "It first hit the cyclist and then crashed into the motorcycle. The van driver was taken into custody and a case is being registered at the Bareta police station," the SSP added.
