3 held in Ramdarbar snatching incident
Chandigarh, Nov. 22 -- Chandigarh Police on Friday arrested three men involved in a recent snatching incident in Ramdarbar. The breakthrough pertains to FIR dated November 20, registered under Sections 304(2), 126(2), 351(2), 351(3), 3(5) of the BNS, with added sections 25-54-59 of the Arms Act at Sector 31 Police Station.
The FIR was lodged on the complaint of Bikku, a 32-year-old resident of Ramdarbar. He reported that on the night of November 17, around 9.30 pm, three boys intercepted him near the Gurudwara in Phase 2, Ramdarbar Market, where he had gone to purchase shoes. The trio allegedly snatched Rs.5,000 in cash and his original documents, including Aadhaar, voter ID, and PAN card.
Before fleeing, they threatened to kill him if he informed the police.
The complainant also stated that he heard one of them being called by the name Binni, and assured the police that he could identify all three. Acting on technical and human intelligence, the police apprehended the three suspects Vinay alias Chotu, Anil, and Vineet alias Vinny alias Binni Following their arrest, police recovered a knife used to intimidate the victim and cash snatched during the incident.htc...
