New Delhi, March 4 -- Three people were killed and two others injured after the car they were travelling in collided with a stationary crane in Madhya Pradesh's Betul district in the early hours on Tuesday, police said. "Five friends were returning from dinner at 3 am when their car collided with a crane near the Basant petrol pump on Itarsi road. Three of them died on the spot while two were critically injured," Betul sub-divisional police officer Sunil Lata said. The bodies were stranded in the car and recovered by breaking the windshield, the officer said. "An investigation is underway to determine whether the crane was parked in the wrong place or if the accident was caused by over-speeding." Hrithik Solanki, a taxi driver in Bhopal, was behind the wheels of the car at the time of the accident, police said. According to the police, the matter is being investigated thoroughly....
