24-yr-old kidnapsminor to get back at ex-partner, held
NEW DELHI, Oct. 4 -- A 24-year-old man, along with three associates, was arrested for allegedly kidnapping a seven-year-old boy from outside his school in west Delhi's Vikaspuri last week to get back his former partner - the boy's mother, police said on Friday. The boy was rescued unharmed from a farm in Haryana's Hansi.
Deputy commissioner of police (west) Sharad Bhaskar identified the main accused as Ajay Verma, of Hansi who runs a mobile repair shop. He was assisted in the kidnapping by his friends Sachin Kumar, 20, and Amit Kumar, 18, brothers and Hisar residents, and, Ajay Kumar, 20, from Vikaspuri.
On 27 September, the mother of the boy approached police after her son did not return from school and told them she suspected Verma's involvement. The two used to live together till four months ago and he wanted to get back together with her.
The woman had been married to another man, with whom she had her son, but they separated a few years ago.After probe, a case was registered on September 28.
Technical surveillance revealed his exact location - a farm in Hansi. Verma, along with Sachin and Amit were arrested from spot and the boy was safely rescued on Wednesday night, the DCP said.htc...
