Chandigarh, Oct. 30 -- A 20-year-old youth, who was stabbed inRam Darbar on Monday, succumbed to his injuries on Wednesday, following which police arrested four persons on charges of murder. The victim, has been identified as Rishi, a resident of Ram Darbar. According to the police, on Monday evening, Rishi was playing volleyball with his two friends in a park located in Ram Darbar, Phase 2. Meanwhile, a group of men - identified as Vashu, Sonu alias Karela, Guri, Gautam, Kallu, Deepu, Nanu, Saurav, alias Bacchi, and a few others - arrived at the spot. They surrounded Rishi and began questioning him about a youth named Vansh Madiwala. When Rishi expressed ignorance, Deepu and Kallu hurled abuses and allegedly attacked him with knives, inflicting serious injuries. Rishi's friends rushed him to GMCH-32, where he succumbed to his injuries after battling for life for two days. Police investigation has revealed that the accused were actually looking for Vansh,with whom they had an old rivalry. Vansh had been arrested by the police on Monday in a separate scuffle case. Unaware, the accused went out to seek revenge, and mistaking Rishi for Vansh's associate, killed him instead. Further probe is underway.htc...
