Bathinda, Feb. 8 -- In yet another tragic road mishap, a 95-year-old woman, her two daughters and a son-in-law were killed after a speeding truck hit their car head-on near Sardulewala village in Mansa on Friday night. According to police, the family hailed from Sirsa, Haryana, and was heading back home after attending a wedding in Chandigarh. The victims include Radha Rani, 95, her daughters Ritu Bala, 53, and Usha Bansal, 58, and Usha's husband, Ashok Kumar, 60. The unidentified car driver also suffered injuries and was rushed to a hospital in Sirsa. Investigating officer (IO) Amrik Singh said the truck driver fled the spot on foot, leaving his vehicle behind, adding that efforts were on to nab him.
