Panchkula, Dec. 24 -- Satluj Public School, Sector 4, Panchkula, inaugurated the first day of its two-day annual event, Satluj Pride, now in its 49th year. This year's theme was Nation Rising - The World Wakes up to the Glory of India'. The ceremony was graced by the chief guest, Alba Smeriglio, deputy high commissioner, British Deputy High Commission, Chandigarh, who applauded the students for their academic discipline, creativity and confidence. School management members-co-chairman/director principal Krit Serai, managing director, Satluj Public School, Panchkula and Satluj Group of Schools Reekrit Serai, co-principal Madhurima Serai, and Radhika Panickar Serai, welcomed the parents and motivated and blessed the students. The cultural segment opened with performance I, "Game Changers: The Women Who Made India Proud," presented by students of Class 11, celebrating inspiring women achievers. Performance II, titled "Borders & Brotherhood: Divided by Politics, United by Love," by Class 9 students, delivered a strong message of harmony and shared humanity. This was followed by Performance III, "Maha Kumbh: Myth, Belief, Reality," enacted by Class 8, offering a thoughtful portrayal of India's spiritual heritage. The programme began with the ceremonial lamp lighting and a Saraswati Vandana. Management expressed their gratitude to the parents and acknowledged the students for their praise worthy work. The event also celebrated the achievements of Class 10 and 12 students, with awards presented to the CBSE toppers of 2024-25. The chief guest, along with the school management, honoured students for their exceptional performance.
