Mohali, Nov. 14 -- An 18-year-old MBBS student hailing from Jammu died by suicide at her rented house in Sector 82, IT City, on Wednesday evening. The deceased's acquaintances found her hanging from the ceiling fan and took her to the Mohali civil hospital without informing the police. The hospital staff informed the police, who then went to the scene. Investigating officer ASI Prem Chand from the IT City police station said the student left behind a note, which stated, "Mom and Dad, sorry, I couldn't bear it anymore".
