15-yr-old stabbed in Dadumajra colony, 3 booked
Chandigarh, Feb. 13 -- A 15-year-old boy was stabbed in the chest by three youths in Dadumajra Colony on Tuesday night around 9 pm while he was out with his father to buy juice nearRamlila Mandi ground, police said.
This is the fourth stabbing incident in the city this year.
As per information, accused Harman, Bihari and another youth had approached them near a four-storey house in the colony.
According to the complaint lodged by the boy's father Sanjay, 40, a housekeeping worker at the Punjab civil secretariat, the accused first caught hold of his son and then stabbed him in the chest with an intention to kill.
"When I raised the alarm, all three fled from the spot," Sanjay told the police in his statement. With the help of two locals, Sanjay rushed his injured son to Government Multi-Specialty Hospital (GMSH), Sector 16, from where he was referred to Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research for further treatment.
A case has been registered under Sections 109 (attempt to murder) and 3(5) (criminal act) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) at the Maloya police station on Wednesday.
No arrest was made till the filing of this report though cops said raids were on to trace the accused....
