Rohtak, Dec. 8 -- A 15-year-old minor girl was allegedly raped by her mother's live-in partner in Rohtak, police said on Sunday. Rohtak women's police station house officer Meena said that the matter came to light on November 29, and the girl's medical examination was conducted. "The accused has been booked under relevant sections of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO ) Act, 2012. The accused is on the run and a manhunt has been launched to arrest him," she added. According to police officials, the victim's mother had been living with a man for the last six years, along with her three daughters and a son. The woman is an auto-rickshaw driver, while her live-in partner, Pradeep Kumar, works as a labourer. In her complaint to the police on November 29, the woman alleged that her daughter was raped by her partner when she was alone at home two months ago. "The accused threatened my daughter with dire consequences if she revealed the incident to anyone. The accused raped her again on November 28. After my daughter informed me of the ordeal, I confronted Pradeep, who ran away," the mother of the victim said in her complaint to the police. Rohtak district child welfare committee member Satish Kaushik said that after the matter came to light and the welfare committee called the girl along with her mother for counselling. "It was during counselling that the girl revealed her ordeal. We will continue the victim's counselling," Kaushik added....
