Chandigarh, Sept. 12 -- Punjab's rural development and panchayats minister Tarunpreet Singh Sond has appealed to financially capable panchayats to extend support towards relief and rehabilitation efforts in flood-affected villages. Urgent actions such as clearing accumulated debris, silt and carcasses of animals, as well as repairing damaged panchayat infrastructure, are the need of the hour, he said.
