Chandigarh, Oct. 24 -- Haryana chief minister Nayab Singh Saini has directed officers to ensure that no student misses out on receiving scholarship benefits under the pre-matric and post-matric scholarship schemes. Presiding over a review meeting regarding scholarship schemes for Scheduled Caste (SC) and Backward Class (BC) students, the chief minister said that it is the responsibility of the government to ensure that no meritorious or needy student discontinues their education due to financial constraints. The resident commissioner at Haryana Bhawan has been instructed to coordinate with officials of concerned central ministries to obtain information about schemes being run by them.
