New Delhi, Sept. 4 -- India can contribute to a diversified and resilient supply chain of semiconductors and a rising India contributes to stability and resilience in Asia, opening up new opportunities for its partners around the region, Singapore Prime Minister Lawrence Wong said on Wednesday, ahead of his meeting with PM Narendra Modi aimed at forging a new roadmap for bilateral relations. "It was something that PM Modi raised with me when he visited Singapore last year... we've signed an MoU and we've made progress," Wong said in an interview to HT, referring to making room for a green lane for semiconductor goods, along with skill development and research collaboration in the field. Speaking of making investments in the changed geopolitical circumstances, Wong said it is important to look at the long-term perspectives over short-term volatility and that investments are never a safe bet. He said Singapore is optimistic of India's growth. "Our confidence in India is not new. It's longstanding and it's backed by a proven track record and actions...
