Panchkula, Dec. 12 -- Indian Languages Festival celebrated with patriotic fervour at Doon Public School celebrated the Indian Languages Festival Week with great zeal, cultural pride, and a unified national spirit. The event embraced the theme "Many Languages, One Emotion," highlighting India's rich linguistic diversity as a powerful thread that binds the nation together. This celebration was especially meaningful as it coincided with the birth anniversary of the Tamil poet and freedom fighter Subramania Bharati, whose inspiring literary contributions continue to evoke love for Indian languages and foster patriotism. This was followed by creative activities where students illustrated India's linguistic heritage through an imaginative Indian Language Tree, visually representing the country's diverse tongues. A key feature of the festival was poetry recitations and the sharing of traditional proverbs in students' mother tongues, which deeply resonated with the audience. Storytelling sessions in different Indian languages, coupled with Hindi translations by fellow students, enhanced understanding and appreciation across linguistic groups. One of the highlights was the multilingual theatrical performances. Students confidently enacted plays in Himachali, Sanskrit, Punjabi, and Haryanvi, showcasing their linguistic skills and cultural knowledge. These performances entertained while reinforcing the beauty and richness of our country's many languages. Throughout the festival, students displayed remarkable enthusiasm, creative expression, and pride in their linguistic roots.
