'A photograph is like the thought of a person'
India, Aug. 19 -- For actor Harshvardhan Rane, photography is more than just a hobby; it's a lens into life itself. It began as an experiment 15 years ago when a friend in Hyderabad let him play around with a camera. Nurtured over the last seven years, it is now a deep passion for the actor. "A photograph, for me, is like the thought of a person," he tells us on World Photography Day.
The 41-year-old loves the way perspective transforms an image. He explains, "10,000 people could be given a camera, but they will all click the same thing differently. Change the angle a little and it tells a completely different story."
Just two weeks ago, Harshvardhan officially became one of only 100 Indians to have successfully completed the Son Doong Cave Expedition in Vietnam, a challenging and rarely attempted journey through one of nature's grandest spectacles. This connection with Nature also comes through on his Instagram profile, which is dotted with wildlife shots, a muse that challenges him: "Animals don't listen to you. A human will pose, but with animals, you have to anticipate their movement. They are unpredictable, just like life. They teach me patience and perseverance and these are lessons I carry in my career, too."
The actor, known for films like Sanam Teri Kasam (2016), Haseen Dillruba (2021), Tara vs Bilal (2022), asserts that photography is not just an escape, but another challenge. "I like that when I click a rare species like a Red Panda, people ask me about it. It creates awareness. I've captured the Red Panda and Snow Leopard twice each. Now, I want to go to the North Pole and photograph the Arctic Fox," he ends....
