India, Dec. 18 -- It could be due to the fact that the premise set in the Hindi belt or heartland connects with its audience. People are always interested in seeing how their region is depicted in a show, that draws them to certain content. In terms of population, too, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and Madhya Pradesh are majorly Hindi-speaking states, so such content finds an audience as they understand and appreciate the stories set in places they know or have heard of. Aabadi bhi kitni hai in chaaron states mein, maybe that's an additional factor. But, there are a number of shows set in the heartland that don't work for many reasons, not just the setting. The story, cast and performances make a huge difference. There has to be an appeal that works for audiences....
