India, Oct. 10 -- Actor Naveen Kasturia and his wife Shubhanjali Sharma are celebrating their first Karwa Chauth since their wedding last December. Shubhanjali shares, "It's definitely different this time. Our parents are excited and guiding us-it's all very new." Naveen laughs, "Karwa Chauth only recently came back into my life. In Delhi, I'd accompany my mom to the rituals, but after moving to Mumbai, it stopped. Now, with Shubhanjali and my mom talking about it, it's back-even if I don't fully get all the rituals yet." The 40-year-old adds, "I'm glad I'm not shooting that day!" Shubhanjali shares she's learning the customs from both mothers. "My mother-in-law told me about having sargi before sunrise. I'm excited to experience this new phase with Naveen." Shubhanjali says, "We're both fasting and will have sargi together. I'll also apply mehndi." Naveen adds, "I'm supporting her in spirit. We haven't planned anything grand but will make the day special in our own way. We celebrate each other every day, not just on Karwa Chauth." When asked about life after marriage and fasting, Shubhanjali reflects, "I used to see traditions as imposed on women and would have rebelled against them in my twenties. But now, I do it willingly. Wearing saris and doing rituals feels beautiful and empowering." Naveen says, "In the last ten months, I've seen how much she loves festivals. I wasn't very traditional before, but now I enjoy it too. Her energy makes celebrations like Navratri and Diwali more festive." The couple who dated before getting married say that marriage brought them closer. "Life is better and easier. It's like having a permanent friend to come home to. Before, I'd return to an empty house, but now it feels complete," he ends....
