India, Aug. 1 -- Actor Vijay Sethupathi has found himself at the centre of controversy after an X user accused him of sexual exploitation. On Monday, user Ramya Mohan made a post claiming that a young woman was undergoing rehabilitation after facing manipulation under the guise of industry norms. The actor has now responded with a statement addressing the accusations. "Anyone who knows me even remotely will laugh at this. I know myself too. This kind of filthy accusation can't upset me," it read. Vijay also accused the poster of "obviously doing it to be noticed. She has her few minutes of fame, let her enjoy it." In a post that has since been deleted, Ramya had alleged that the actor "has offered Rs.2L for 'caravan favors', Rs.50k for 'drives' (sic)." While she did not name the young woman - a "known face in media" - or specify a timeline of events, she said that the woman faced Kollywood's "transactional exploitation" and "drug-sex nexus." She concluded the post with, "It's insane how some insensitive morons are focused on blaming the victim than acknowledging the truth." Interestingly, the account has now been deactivated. Meanwhile, Vijay shared that a cybercrime complaint has been filed and noted, "Such targeting has not affected me so far. It never will." htc...
