India, June 25 -- Actor Viineet Kumar Siingh was stranded at the Dubai airport on Monday night amid the precautionary closure of airspace in several parts of the Middle East after Iran's missile strikes on US establishments in Qatar. All set to take a flight back home to Mumbai, he learnt that the UAE airspace had been closed. He took to Instagram to share an update, writing: "9:23pm Dubai Time. Immigration Done. Waiting at the gate for my flight. Fingers crossed." "I was at the airport, when I started getting calls and messages. Upon checking, I found that the UAE airspace had been closed due to the situation. There was no activity despite it being a 9.40pm (Dubai time) take-off. So, I had understood something was up. But the authorities made sure there was no panic. In some time, everyone's phones started ringing. We finally took off around 10.45pm." Viineet's family, especially his wife, actor Ruchira, were worried. "We are pregnant. Joh ghar ke log door kahin hote hain, unki chinta toh hoti hi hai," says Viineet. As soon as he landed in Mumbai around 3.45am IST, he shared an update on Instagram. Talking about being responsible when it comes to writing things on social media, the actor, 46, says, "If someone posts unverified, false information, it's easy for panic to spread. Airport pe war ki baatein shuru ho gayin thi, but I didn't believe them. The moment I landed, my family was so happy. Everyone was awake and hugged me."...
