India, July 9 -- Actor-producer Unni Mukundan, who primarily works in the Malayalam industry, has issued an urgent warning after his official Instagram account (with 2.9 million followers) was hacked. In a statement shared on Facebook, he urged fans not to engage with any content from the compromised account. In the note, he wrote, "IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT. My official Instagram account @iamunnimukundan has been hacked. Any updates, DMs, stories, or content going out from that account are not from me - they are being posted by the hackers." The 37-year-old strongly advised his fans and followers to avoid interacting with the account: "Please do NOT engage, click on any suspicious links, or share personal information in response to anything from that account at this time." Unni ended the note by assuring fans that steps are being taken to recover the account. He wrote, "We're working with the relevant teams to resolve the issue. I'll keep you all posted through verified channels. Thanks for your support and caution. #StaySafe #InstagramHack #ImportantUpdate." Fans were worried for the actor, asking him to secure his other social media accounts too.
