Unknowingly turned down Jolly LLB, says Shreyas Talpade
India, Sept. 13 -- Actor Shreyas Talpade has had a career filled with memorable performances. While he has no regrets about the choices he's made, Shreyas recently revealed that he had 'unknowingly' turned down the lead role in Jolly LLB (2013).
The 49-year-old tells us, "I remember meeting director Subhash (Kapoor) and he narrated a story. But things didn't move ahead, since I was tied up with other commitments. Later, when Jolly LLB was released, I watched it and called Subhash ji to congratulate him. But he just laughed and said, 'Don't you remember? I had come to you with this film.'"
The actor, who has been seen in Emergency, Baaghi 4, and Housefull 5 this year, recalls how shocked he was upon learning the truth. "It was Jagdish Tyagi's role which I was offered. I never knew I was missing out on such an opportunity," shares Shreyas, adding that the revelation left him momentarily stunned, but he holds no bitterness. "Arshad [Warsi] did a fantastic job with it. Sometimes, that's just how things are meant to be. It's part and parcel of the journey," he concludes....
